The process involves adhering fine metal leaf to your label surface, giving a rich, lustrous finish.
There are two ways of achieving this look, depending on the paper stock and other label options chosen.
Hot Foil provide a lustrous shiny finish to your label, which is perfect for catching the eye. The hot foil process involves pressing metallic dry ink onto your label with the use of a hot engraving stamp.
This design option is quite popular amongst our clients as the set up and production costs are economical.
Cold foil is used to achieve the same lustrous look on heat sensitive materials and substrates, such as plastic films and non-porous materials.
This process uses cold printing plates and/or UV curing lamp to set the foil. Cold foil can provide metallic touches to your label where hot foil stamping just isn’t possible.
